Next in our summer line up was a wonderful visit by Grandpa and Grandma. Rob and I took Grandma Paula for a drive thru Evergreen and down thru Morrison. We made a quick stop at the infamous Red Rocks Ampitheatre where we were greeted by a doe and her two fawns. Bob and Mike got in some quality conversation time while we were gone.

On Sunday of their visit, we went to Kiowa Creek Sporting Club for some target practice.

A good time was had by all !

Boy Scout Canoe Trip with Grammy!
We went to Green Mountain Reservoir about 2 hours west of Denver.

Led by Scout Master Matt, Becky, Heath, Mike, Gloria/Grammy and I joined, Rob, Hunter, Jeremy, Landon, Christian and Shea for an awesome fun filled weekend.

Along with all the normal camping activities, it was also peak time for a meteor shower. We saw some fantastic celestial displays !

We took some friends camping the weekend of August 6. They had not been camping before and quickly fell in love. The kids loved playing in the creek. Even in August, the snow run off keeps the creek nice and chilly. Makes for a stimulating swim. Harley joined them as well. Tulle and Cocoa took a pass.

Max enjoyed shooting the BB gun while Rob and Mike relaxed. Mark made us a wonderful breakfast.

Here is Phil Lundy. Mike's first roommate back in 1983. He was out here from Michigan for a teaching seminar and we got to see him. Friends thru thick and thin. (Well, maybe more like two middle aged goof balls still at it. )
